CHARLOTTE, NC - The Charlotte men's soccer team lost to Cincinnati 4-1 in Conference USA men's soccer action at Transamerica Field.
Cincinnati scored first when Myron Vaughn headed the ball into the goal off an assist from Robert Burlew at the 39:17 mark.
Cincinnati extended their lead to 2-0 when Jeremiah Gallegos scored off a Vaughn assist at the 51:18 mark.
Gallegos increased Cincinnati's lead to 3-0 when he scored off another Vaughn assist at the 65:22 mark.
Charlotte scored their goal when Juan Munoz-Airey connected on a score off a C.J. Robinson pass out a free kick at the 81:00 minute mark.
Cincinnati closed out the scoring when Andrew Kean connected on a goal with just over five minutes left in the match.
Charlotte falls to 3-2 overall and 1-1 in Conference USA. While Cincinnati improves to 1-3 overall and 1-0 in Conference USA.
The 49ers return to action when they travel to Conference USA rival UAB, Sunday, September 17 at 3 pm.
