Curl; Enander Hedin Now on Tarheel Tour Leaderboard

Oct. 10, 2008

Charlotte, N.C. - Former Charlotte 49ers golfer Jonas Enander Hedin (Taby, Sweden) shot a 10-under par 206 to capture the Swedish PGA Landmann Open, Sept. 25-27. Enander Hedin, a third team all-America who led the 49ers to an eighth-place finish at the 2008 NCAA Championship, shot four-under par 68 in the final round to win the event by one stroke.

Enander Hedin played this summer in the Palmer Cup, a collegiate version of the Ryder Cup, clinching Europe's victory in the event with his singles' match victory.

Enander Hedin is back in the U.S., currently and is competing this week in the Tarheel Tour's Walnut Creek Open in Goldsboro, N.C.

After two rounds, Enander Hedin is tied for sixth-place with a two-round total of -9, 133. Another former 49er, Jeff Curl, is currently tied for second-place at -11, 131, one stroke back of leader Kevin Kisner, -12, 130. The final round will be played today.
