Nagy Shoots Two-Under at Wyndham Qualifying

Misses Chance To Qualify for PGA Event

Charlotte, N.C. - Charlotte 49ers rising junior Corey Nagy (Charlotte, N.C.; Vance H.S.) shot a two-under par 69 in Monday's qualifier for the 2008 Wyndham Championship, falling short of qualifying for that PGA event.

Nagy finished tied for 20th among the 64 players attempting to qualify. Only the top four players qualified, with the cut being made at five-under par.

Nagy, who won the Carolina Am and reached the quarterfinals of the 2008 US Amateur Public Links, has qualified to compete in his first US Amateur, Aug. 18-24 at Pinehurst Resort and Country Club in Pinehurst, NC.
