Ray Sheedy posted a +1, 289 at the NCAA Championships to place tied for 27th, overall, becoming the 49ers highest finisher ever at the NCAA Championships.

Sheedy led the 49ers to a tie for 22nd-place in the team competition. Although the 49ers did not make the cut for Saturday's fourth and final round (the Top 15 teams advance), Sheedy was one of six individuals that did advance to the final round to compete for the individual national championship.

Sheedy was tied for 21st at even-par through three rounds, landing him in a seven-player playoff for four spots in the final round. He sank a 30-foot birdie putt on the second playoff hole to reach Saturday's final round, where he shot +1, 73, finishing 27th out of an entire field of over 150 players.
