Charlotte, N.C. - The Charlotte 49ers golf team is ranked 23rd by GolfWeek and 24th by Golfstat entering next week's Palisades Collegiate Classic at Palisades Country Club in south Charlotte. Charlotte, which returned its entire lineup from last year's squad that won the A-10 Championship and advanced through the NCAA Regionals to the NCAA Championships has posted two tournament titles and one runner-up finish in seven events this season.
The 49ers are currently led by junior Jonas Enander Hedin, who owns a 72.9 stroke average in five tournaments played. Junior Trevor Murphy has a 73.0 stroke average and has competed in all seven events while junior Andrew DiBitetto has a 73.5 stroke average.

Sheedy, who set a school record with a 71.77 stroke average last season, became the first player in school history to survive the cuts and advance to the final round of the NCAA Tournament Championships, last year. He placed 27th overall to lead Charlotte to their 22nd-place finish. Mincer holds the 49ers tournament score record at -14, 202 at the 2004-05 49er Collegiate.
Five different 49ers: Sheedy, Murphy, Enander Hedin, Nagy and sophomore Stefan Wiedergruen, have been named A-10 Golfer of the Week, this season.
The Palisades Collegiate Classic will be held Apr. 9-10 and is co-hosted by the Charlotte Sports Commission, the Charlotte 49ers, Davidson College and Belmont Abbey. Two top 20 foes, Lamar and Louisville, as well as top 40 UT-Chattanooga, are also in the Palisades Classic Field.
