Greenville, N.C. - Freshman Sam McFall shot a final round one-under par 71 to move up to tied for seventh, overall, and lead the 49ers to an eighth-place finish at the Ironwood Intercollegiate at Ironwood Golf Course.

McFall (76-77-71 -- 224) and sophomore Mike Shamp (76-77-73 -- 226) both carded their best rounds of the spring in the final round as the 49ers put together a three-round total of 305-310-303 -- 918.

Georgia Southern won the tournament with a three-round 897, three strokes ahead of runners-up Charleston Southern and Furman.
