At Charlotte: In his fourth year with the program, Blake used a red-shirt season as a freshman and has competed in seven events over the last two years. Looks to crack the lineup as the 49ers replace three graduated seniors.
At 2007-08: Competed in two events: as an individual at the Palisades Collegiate Classic and in "B" Tournament at the Tot Hill Farm Invitational ... shot a personal-best +3, 219 at the Palisades Classic (72-73-74 -- 219) ... tied for first as an individual at the Tot Hill Farm Invitational (71-69 -- 140, -2) in Fall, `07.
2006-07: Competed in five events, including once in the starting lineup ... other four outings came as an individual or "B" team player ... shot a 237 at the Hackler Championships ... also participated in two "B" events, helping Niners to a second-place finish at the 49er Classic (235) and a third-place finish at the First Energy Intercollegiate with a +6, 222 ... shot his low round of 73 as an individual at the Palisades.
2005-06: Did not compete as a freshman, opting to red-shirt the season.
At Cherokee High: 2004 Plantation Junior Golf Tour (PJGT) Player of the Year ... won 2004 PJGT Tournament of Champions (66-70 -- 136, 1st of 71) ... A PJGT first-team all-America ... 2004 Cherokee County Player of the Year ... 2004 Atlanta Journal Constitution Player of the Year ... qualified for 2004 U.S. Junior Amateur by shooting 143 (71-72) to win qualifying event in Georgia ... shot a 71 in a 2005 local US Open qualifier to finish as a second alternate ... placed 3rd at 2005 American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) Ringold Telephone Company Junior Classic (67-68-77 -- 212) ... won 2004 Southeastern Junior Golf Tour (SJGT) Jekyll Island Classic (71-72 -- 143, 1st of 46), the 2004 PJGT Brown Mills (69-72 -- 141, 1st of 14) and the AJGA Ashworth Junior (76-69 -- 145, 1st of 102) ... qualified for 2005 Georgia State Open ... qualified for US Amateur final at Hazeltine after advancing through Georgia qualifier.
