Charlotte, NC - Charlotte 49ers men's basketball coach Bobby Lutz, today, announced that 6-9 junior forward Matas Niparavicius (Elektrenai, Lithuania) has decided to transfer out of the program, citing a desire for increased playing time. Niparavicius averaged 2.0 points and 1.9 rebounds in 9.7 minutes of play, last season.

"I appreciate the contributions that Matas has given our program over the last two years," Lutz said. "He's an outstanding young man and we wish him the best. I understand his desire to play more and we wish him well in finding the right level where he can do that."

In two years with the 49ers, Niparavicius has played in 41 games, making two starts and averaging 1.5 points and 1.5 rebounds.
