Final LUTZ LIVE! Show Scheduled For Wednesday

One-Hour Radio Show Live From University O'Charley's on WFNZ 610 AM

March 22, 2004

Charlotte, N.C. - The final "LUTZ LIVE!" radio show of the season will be held, Wednesday evening, Mar. 24, from 7:00 - 8:00 at the O'Charley's university location. The one-hour coach's show, featuring Charlotte 49ers head basketball coach Bobby Lutz, is hosted by Gary Williams and can be heard on WFNZ SportsRadio 610 am.

Williams is co-host of WFNZ's Morning Sports Page and also provides color commentary on selected Charlotte 49ers men's basketball radio broadcasts.

The 49ers completed the 2003-04 season with a 21-9 record, a share of the Conference USA regular-season championship and a trip to the NCAA Tournament. For Lutz, this was his third 20-win season as 49ers head coach and his fourth NCAA trip in his six years at the 49ers' helm. It marked Lutz's third Conference USA title: two C-USA Tournaments; one C-USA regular-season.

The 49ers will return four starters, next year, including first-team all-Conference USA choice Curtis Withers; C-USA Defensive Player of the Year Eddie Basden and C-USA all-freshman choice Martin Iti. Withers, Basden and shooting guard Brendan Plavich will all return after averaging in double-figures, this year.
