Charlotte won 66-51 at Richmond, last year.

THE GAME: The Charlotte 49ers (14-10; 5-5) travel to Richmond (13-10; 6-4), Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. (Radio: WFNA, 1660 AM - Matt Swierad; Live Audio: Charlotte49ers.com). The game will wrap up a swing in which the 49ers play four of five games on the road. Charlotte has dropped its last two games, both by two points, matching its longest losing streak of the season. The 49ers have lost four of their last five games, starting with a home loss to the Spiders, Feb. 2. They have lost those four games by a combined 15 points (3.8/game).
The 49ers are led by the high-scoring efforts of senior guard Leemire Goldwire, who has netted 30 or more points in a league-leading five games, this year, including A-10 contests vs. Saint Joseph's (36), St. Bonaventure (39) and #12/#13 Xavier (31). Goldwire has also surpassed the 1500 career point mark and moved into third-place all-time with 311 career three-pointers made. Head coach Bobby Lutz is tied with Jeff Mullins with a school-record 182 victories as the 49ers head coach.

30-KARAT GOLD: Leemire Goldwire has posted five games of 30 or more points, including recent back-to-back efforts: career-high 39 at St. Bonaventure; 31 vs. #12/#13 Xavier. He owns the A-10's top four single-game scoring efforts. His five 30-point games are the most by a 49er in one season since 1990-91, when Henry Williams set a school-record with six games of 30 or more points. This is only the fifth time in school history that a player has boasted five or more games of 30+ points in one season and the sixth time a player has posted 30+ in back-to-back games.

LUTZ SHARES RECORD WITH MULLINS: With 182 wins as the 49ers head coach, Bobby Lutz has joined Jeff Mullins as the 49ers all-time winningest coaches. Jeff Mullins, a former Duke all-America who won a gold medal on the 1964 US Olympic team before a stellar NBA career that included a World Championship with the 1976 Golden State Warriors, posted a 182-142 record in 11 years with the 49ers (1986-96). Lutz owns a 182-122 record in 10 years as the 49er head coach. With one more win he will take sole possession of the school record.

Lee's Top 4: Leemire Goldwire owns the top four single-game scoring efforts in the A-10 this season: 1.) 39 at St. Bonaventure (8-13 3FG; 7-7 FT) - car. high 2.) 36 vs. Saint Joseph's (7-15 3FG) 3.) 34 vs. Davidson (9-of-20 3FG) 4.) 33 vs. Appalachian State (12-14 FT)

CLOSE CALLS: 19 of Charlotte's 24 games have been decided by seven points or less (10-9); 10 games have been decided by 4 points or less: 5-5, including the last two two-point losses.

Men of steal: Leemire Goldwire leads the A-10 in steals with a team-high 48 (2.00/gm) while four other Niners have at least 20 steals. Charlie Coley has 34, including a school-record tying 7 vs. Richmond. Dijuan Harris has 29, Lamont Mack has 27 and An'Juan Wilderness 22, including a rookie record six in his collegiate debut. Charlotte has had double-digit steals eight times, including 13 vs. Richmond, 12 vs. Xavier and 10 vs. St. Bonaventure, this month.
