The Game: The Charlotte 49ers (9-12; 3-6) host Richmond, Wednesday (Feb. 7; 7:30 p.m.; WFNA Radio) at Halton Arena. It is the first of three straight home games which precede a three-game road swing. Alexander; Goldwire Close In on 1000-Point Club: De'Angelo Alexander and Leemire Goldwire are both closing in on 1000 career points. Alexander has scored 913 career points while Goldwire has scored 888. They would be the 21st and 22nd players in school history to reach the plateau and the first to do so since Curtis Withers and Eddie Basden joined the club in 2005. Alexander would be the fifth 49er to reach 1000 in just two years, joining Henry Williams, Lew Massey, Robert Earl Blue and George Jackson.
