Box Score

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Senior E.J. Drayton scored a game-high 17 points and De'Angelo Alexander added his fifth double-double of the year with 16 points and 11 rebounds as Charlotte plowed past St. Bonaventure, 74-53, in the regular-season finale in Atlantic 10 action, Saturday night.

With the victory Charlotte secured the #9 seed in the upcoming A-10 tournament. St. Bonaventure's loss, coupled with Richmond's home win over Rhode Island, eliminated the Bonnies from the A-10 Tournament.

Charlotte jumped out to a quick 19-5 lead, courtesy of a pair of three-pointers from Alexander, in the opening seven minutes and never trailed. Charlotte led by 17, 40-23, at the half, following Ian Andersen's three-pointer in the closing seconds.

Charlotte still led by 18, 59-41, with 7:41 to play before going on a 9-0 run to push the lead to 27, 68-41 on a Drayton free throw with 4:37 to play.

From then on, Charlotte was given a chance to honor its six seniors, including Drayton and Alexander, Courtney Williams and Antwon Coleman. Senior Travis Gordon, a four-year walk-on, played a career-high four minutes and nailed a jumper with 1:16 to play before being removed to a loud round of applause from the 49ers faithful. Fellow senior Jerell Jamison did not play due to a mid-foot ankle sprain suffered Thursday vs. George Washington.

NOTES:
