Personal: Jobey W. Thomas was born March 24, 1980 the son of Bob and Sandy Thomas ... Has a younger brother, Andy ... Signed with the 49ers Nov. 13, 1997 ... Chose the 49ers after visiting LSU, and considering Davidson and Wake Forest ... Jobey’s busy summer, '01 included a trek to Europe with the NIT All-Stars. Thomas led the team to a 4-1 record with a 17.3 scoring average and was able to enjoy the sights of Austria, Hungary and Slovakia ... He began his summer doing a 10-week inner-city missions project with Campus Outreach ...
