At Charlotte: At 6-10, Jones gives the 49ers a sizeable presence in the paint. He is developing better post moves and also can hit the foul line jumper. Defensively, he has the ability to block and alter shots. Jones signed with the 49ers in August of 2006 but was ineligible for the 2006-07 season. He remained in school to become eligible for the 2007-08 season.

It was just nice to be, there. I did visit my Mom's and my grandfather's grave while I was there.

I wasn't worried about expectations. I just wanted to come in and produce.
What part of your game have you spent the most time developing:
It's not really a part of my game but I've spent the most time getting my weight down so I will be quicker on offense and defense.
What's one thing about your game that people know too little about:
That I can shoot the basketball.

I'm on a weight program called Body Comp. Nothing unique about it. I run the treadmill twice a week along with lifting three days a week.
Who are some of the big guys in the NBA that you use as models:
Rasheed Wallace -- that's why I chose 30 this year because that was his number in college. I like Kevin Garnett and Tim Duncan and Charlie Villanueva and Chris Taft.
