At Charlotte: The 49ers starting point guard, Harris is known for his all-out-effort, care of the ball and defensive intensity. He dives, he harrasses, he sprints and despite his frenetic pace, he is still able to play under control. He led the Atlantic 10 in assist-to-turnover ratio and had nearly as many steals (37) as turnovers (39). He's really fun to watch.

Harris Up Close:
Harris keyed a defensive effort that created 271 steals and forced 574 turnovers, the most in over 15 years.
What is it about defense that makes you, personally, excel:
I think it's just heart, pride. I take pride in stopping my person every game.
When you're on the court, you dive on the floor, into the stands or over press rows.
What's going through your mind:
It's all for the team. By any means necessary. I do what I have to do. If it takes diving in the stands to grab momentum or if it gets my teammates excited by making a big play. It's all about team.
You look like you are having a lot of fun:
A lot of fun! A lot of people don't get this opportunity. I'm just thankful. That's why I smile so much -- I'm thankful for the opportunity to play.
Harris led the A-10 in assist-to-turnover ratio:
Considering your fast-paced style of play, is there anything special you do to keep those numbers down:
It's all the system and keeping care of the ball. Coach Moxley drills me everyday. It's my job to get people the ball in the right position -- and the more possessions we have without a turnover, the better.
Harris has hosted the school's TV show "The 49ers Insider":
You seem comfortable in front of a camera. Any broadcast career goals:
I actually do. I would love to be an ESPN analyst. I feel like I could do a good job. That's a career goal after basketball. I'd love to be an analyst.
On or off the court, you are a people person. Have you ever met a stranger:
No. Never. I feel comfortable talking with anybody on any level. You can bring someone's day up if you just open your mouth and talk to them.
Harris is a Charlotte native:
Who are some of your 49er favorites:
Eddie Basden. I really enjoyed watching him. He did everything. His defense. He could score. He was a leader. Curtis Withers. Brendan Plavich. Demon Brown. DeMarco Johnson -- I've followed Charlotte for a long time.
