Baseball Statistical Legend
AVG = Batting Average (Hits/At-Bats)
GP = Games Played
GS = Games Started
AB = At-Bats (Appearances at the plate that do not result in a Hit by Pitch, Walk, or sacrifice)
R = Runs Scored
H = Total Hits
2B = Doubles
3B = Triples
HR = Home Runs
RBI = Runs Batted In
TB = Total Bases (Sum of singles + doubles + triples + home runs)
SLG% = Slugging Percentage (Ratio of total bases per at bat)
BB = Base on Balls (Walks)
HBP = Hit by pitch
SO = Strike outs
GDP = Grounded into Double Plays
OB% = On-Base Percentage (Ratio of times the player reached base vs. total plate appearances)
SF = Sacrifice Flys (Fly outs where a runner tagged up and scored)
SH = Sacrifice Hits (usually bunts where a runner either advanced a base or scored as a result of the bunt).
SB = Stolen Bases
Att. = Stolen Base Attempts
PO = Put-outs (when fielder has possession of the ball and a runner is out either via tag or by force out/touching the base).
A = Assists (fielder that throws the ball to another fielder, who records a put-out).
E = Fielding Errors
FLD% = Fielding Percentage (percentage of the time the player handled the ball without committing an error)
LOB = Left on Base (runners on base when that player came up to hit which did not score)
DP = Double Plays
IBB = Intentional Base on Balls (Walks)
Pitcher
ERA = Earned Run Average (Average number of earned runs allowed per nine innings pitched.) Formula is ER/(IP/9)
W = Wins
L = Losses
GS = Games Started
CG = Complete Games
SHO/CBO = Shutouts/Combined Shutouts. Shutouts are complete games where no runs are allowed. Combined shutouts are when multiple pitchers work together to record a shutout.
SV = Saves
IP = Innings Pitched
H = Hits Allowed
R = Total Runs Allowed
ER = Earned Runs Allowed
BB = Walks Issued
SO = Batters Struck Out
2B = Doubles Allowed
3B = Triples Allowed
HR = Home Runs Allowed
BF = Total Batters Faced
B/Avg = Opponents' Batting Average against that pitcher
WP = Wild Pitches Thrown
HBP = Batters Hit by Pitch
BK = Balks
SFA = Sacrifice Flys Allowed
SHA = Sacrifice Hits/Bunts Allowed
PB = Past Balls
SB/ATT = Opponent stolen bases/number of attempts while that pitcher was pitching or that catcher was catching.
Fielding
C = Chances

A = Assists (fielder that throws the ball to another fielder, who records a put-out).

CSB = Caught Stealing By, opponents caught by pitcher/catcher
SBA% = Percentage of successful opponent stolen base attempts (stolen bases allowed)

CI = Catcher's Interference
