CHARLOTTE, NC - Former Charlotte 49ers two-time All-Conference USA pitcher Jason Stanford (1998-99) made his major league debut on the mound for the Cleveland Indians last Sunday, July 6.

Stanford allowed two runs on five hits in five innings in the Indians' 5-3 win over Minnesota. He did not figure in the decision since the game went 10 innings.

He became the first Charlotte player who played for Coach Loren Hibbs to see action in a regular season major league baseball game.
