Charlotte Baseball Media Blitz Continues This Week

Charlotte, N.C. - The recent selection of the Charlotte 49ers Baseball Squad to the NCAA Regional in Raleigh has prompted a media blitz of coverage this week. You can find out more on the Niners' story on the following outlets this week.
Stories on selection and previews of the Regional were done by WSOC TV Channel 9 and WBTV News 3. Coaches and players gave comments on the week and the teams in the Regional. Fox Charlotte Sports also came to practice and will have coverage of the team this week.

- "Sports Drive" (ESPN Radio 93.1 FM Columbia, S.C.) 3:30 p.m. Tuesday
- News 14 Carolina "Sports Night" (TWC Channel 14) 10 p.m. Tuesday
- "Primetime" (Sports Radio WFNZ 610 AM) 4 p.m. Wednesday
The "Charlotte Observer's" Jim Utter and Joe Habina will have various stories all week long up to and including regional play, while Ken Tysiac will cover the games for the publication.
Charlotte will face South Carolina at 2 p.m. Friday at Doak Stadium in Raleigh. North Carolina State and James Madison will play one another at 7 p.m. that evening. Charlotte has defeated each of the three teams at the Regional the last time they played them.
