CHARLOTTE, NC - The Charlotte 49ers baseball team hosts in-state foes Appalachian State and Wake Forest in their final two non-conference games of the season this week at Tom and Lib Phillips Field. They host Appalachian State, Tuesday, April 29 at 6:30 pm. Then, they face nationally-ranked Wake Forest, Wednesday, April 30 at 6:30 pm.

The 49ers will have a local celebrity throw out the ceremonial first pitch before each game. Before Tuesday's Appalachian State game, NASCAR driver Kenny Wallace will be throwing out the first pitch. Then before Wednesday's Wake Forest game, former Charlotte 49ers great and major leaguer Chris Haney will be throwing out the first pitch.

Admission is $3 for adults, $1 for youth-17-and-under and free for all Charlotte 49ers students with a valid ID.
