Spencer Steedley paced the 49ers to two crucial road wins at Conference USA foe Louisville this past weekend. In game two of the series, which Charlotte won 13-8, Steedley enjoyed the best performance of his young career. He collected a career-high four hits, five RBI and scored three runs. He also became the fifth Charlotte player this season to connect on two home runs in a game. When he connected on a home runs in the sixth and seventh innings.
In Charlotte's four games last week, he lead the team with a .563 batting average and a 1.188 slugging percentage. He had three multi-hit games and connected on three home runs with seven RBI.
Steedley and the rest of the 49ers embark on a four-game homestand this week. The 49ers host Furman, Wednesday, April 21 at 6 pm. Then, they battle UAB in a crucial Conference USA series this weekend at Tom and Lib Phillips Field.
