Rain forces non-conference game to be called off.

Charlotte, N.C. - The Charlotte 49ers baseball team announced that Wednesday night's game against Furman has been cancelled due to rain. No make up date was announced.

Mid-day rain in Charlotte and the expectation of more throughout the day and into the evening prompted cancellation of the non-conference game. The National Weather Service has issued a severe weather outlook for Mecklenburg County calling for scattered thunderstorms throughout the evening.

The team will next be in action this Friday when they take on the Bearcats in Cincinnati. Game time is 6:30 p.m. Saturday's game is at 4:00 p.m., and first pitch on Sunday is 1:00 p.m.

The team returns to Charlotte to host Furman in a regularly-scheduled matchup on Tuesday, April 19 at 6:00 p.m.
