CHARLOTTE, NC - The Charlotte 49ers baseball team hosts Conference USA rival East Carolina in a three-game series this weekend, April 12-14. The first two games of the series will be played at Kannapolis' Fieldcrest-Cannon Stadium.
The series begins, Friday, April 12 at 6:35 pm at Fieldcrest-Cannon Stadium. Then, the next game of the series will be Saturday, April 13 at 1 pm at Fieldcrest-Cannon Stadium. The final game of the series is Sunday, April 14 at 1 pm at Charlotte's Tom and Lib Phillips Field.
The 49ers enter the game with a 16-16 overall record and a 6-6 record in Conference USA. Charlotte is lead by shortstop Brad Lamm who enters the series among the Conference USA leaders in hitting with a .402 average. Pitcher John Maine ranks among the Conference USA leaders in strikeouts with 59.
East Carolina enters the series ranked #20 in the latest Baseball American Top 25 poll. The Pirates have an overall record of 24-8-1 and a Conference USA record of 6-5-1.
Admission to the two games at Fieldcrest-Cannon Stadium is $4 for adults and $2 for youth and all Charlotte 49ers students with a valid ID.
