Charlotte, N.C. - The Charlotte 49ers announced today that the April 10th baseball game vs. nationally-ranked Tulane will be broadcast live on C-SET (Carolinas Sports Entertainment Television). First pitch for this game has been changed to 1:00 p.m.

Sunday's game will be the finale of a three-game series versus one of the nation's top teams in Tulane, which has been ranked among the top five in all of the college baseball polls every week this season. The Green Wave posted a 41-21 record in 2004 and advanced to the NCAA Super Regional. The teams will also meet on Friday (6:00) and Saturday (2:00) that weekend.

"We're very excited to have C-SET come out to our facility and broadcast this game," said head coach Loren Hibbs. "This is great exposure for our team, players and University, as well as for Conference USA baseball. This shows that Charlotte Baseball is making good progress, to have a game against a quality opponent broadcast. Very few college baseball games are televised each year, so I hope that our dedicated students & fans will come out and support us the entire weekend. We have a chance to showcase the best about our University, and hopefully this will lead to more televised games in the future."

Play-by-play of the game will be provided by C-SET veteran Tom Werme. Werme hosts live broadcasts of Charlotte Bobcats games on C-SET, and is anchor for C-SET's Carolinas Sports Report. Scott Pose will serve as the color analyst for the game. Pose, a longtime professional baseball player, saw action with the Florida Marlins, New York Yankees and Kansas City Royals.

This game joins a growing list of Charlotte 49ers events broadcast on C-SET. The Charlotte-based network was responsible for televising eight men's and three women's basketball games this winter.

Fans can purchase tickets at the gate the day of the game for $5, and can visit www.charlotte49ers.com to download a 2-for-1 adult admission coupon. Youth (17 & under) are admitted free to all Conference USA weekend games.

The Charlotte-Tulane game joins a list of 10 other college baseball games to be broadcast on the network this spring, including the Conference USA Championship game.

C-SET's college baseball schedule includes at least 11 teams from North Carolina and South Carolina. The schedule features eight NCAA tournament teams from 2004, with College World Series participant South Carolina headlining the list.

"The Carolinas have a wealth of strong college baseball programs, and we're proud to showcase the best of them on C-SET," said Naomi Travers, executive vice president of media rights and entertainment for C-SET, which launched in October as the Carolinas' first regional sports network. "We hope their appearances on C-SET are a step on the road to the College World Series in Omaha."

C-SET is home to the NBA's Charlotte Bobcats and the WNBA's Charlotte Sting, plus college football, college basketball, college basketball, minor league baseball and original programming. Viewers looking for the latest information on C-SET telecast schedules and program information can log on to the network's Web site at www.C-SET.com.

C-SET is available throughout the Carolinas on Time Warner Digital Cable.
