Charlotte Baseball Continues To Garner Votes in Latest NCBWA Poll

Niners Recognized as Top 50 Program by Baseball Writers

Dallas - The Charlotte 49ers continue to receive votes in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers of America weekly poll.

Charlotte is 10-3 coming off a three-game sweep of defending Colonial Athletic Association champion James Madison over the weekend. Charlotte has won all seven home games this season, despite having played none of them on campus.

The Niners will play on their third "home field" of the season this weekend, as Charlotte heads to Rock Hill, S.C. to host Le Moyne for a four-game series this weekend. The Dolphins are the defending regular season champions of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, coming off a 38-14 season in 2006.

This weekend's schedule calls for a Friday game at 2 p.m., a pair of seven-inning games beginning at noon on Saturday and a Sunday noon single game to finish the series. All four games take place at The Winthrop Ballpark.
