Charlotte, N.C. - The Charlotte 49ers baseball team added a game against High Point for Wednesday, March 9 at Tom & Lib Phillips Field. Game time is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
The Niners were originally scheduled to play at Longwood on Wednesday, but the field conditions in Farmville, Va. were not suitable for a game after the recent heavy rains and snow.
The team also announced Tuesday morning that two scheduled meetings with Appalachian had been rescheduled due to the weather both in Charlotte and in Boone, N.C.
Tuesday morning's heavy rains in the Charlotte area, combined with some snow making travel out of Boone difficult, forced the re-scheduling of two games between the teams.
The teams were originally scheduled to play Tuesday, March 8 in Charlotte, and Tuesday, March 22 in Boone.
Instead, Appalachian will come to Charlotte on March 22 for a 6:00 p.m. game.
The Niners will travel to Boone for a 3:00 p.m. game on Tuesday, April 26, ensuring that each team would still get a home game in the series despite Tuesdsay's rainout.
