Charlotte, N.C. - The 49ers baseball game against Penn State, originally scheduled for Sunday at noon, had been canceled due to weather.

The Charlotte area experienced some freezing rain on Sunday morning, with more inclement weather expected throughout the day. The coaching staffs of both teams agreed to cancel the game rather than risk lenghty weather delays with the game in progress.

The Niners are next in action on Tuesday, February 22 against Longwood. First pitch is set for 4:00 p.m.
