FORT WORTH, TX - The Charlotte 49ers baseball team dropped the second game of their three-game series at TCU, 8-1.
Thomas Bowker paced the 49ers with three hits and a RBI.
TCU again took an early 3-0 lead with three runs in the third inning. Austin Adams connected on a two-run single to left field scoring the game's first two runs. Then, Chris Neuman's single to left center field scored the inning's other run.
Charlotte plated their run in the fifth inning when Michael Roane, who reached base on a double to left center field, scored on Bowker's single to left center field.
TCU then plated four runs on five hits in the fifth inning making the score, 7-1.
The Horned Frogs tacked on the game's final run in the seventh inning on a couple of hits.
49ers conclude their season with the final game of the TCU series, Saturday, May 22 at 8 pm.
