Final Stats

MEMPHIS, TN - The Charlotte 49ers lost to Conference USA foe Memphis, 7-4. All seven of Memphis' runs were unearned.

Charlotte took a 1-0 lead on Brian Bowman's leadoff solo home run over the left field wall in the third inning.

Memphis took a 2-1 lead in fourth inning. Both of Memphis' runs were caused by Charlotte errors.

Charlotte regained the lead, 3-2, when Adam Willard and George Sandel scored on a Memphis throwing error on Brad Lamm's sacrifice bunt in the fifth inning.

Memphis forged ahead, 7-3, with five runs in the sixth inning. All five Memphis runs came with two outs and after a Charlotte throwing error.

Charlotte added a run in the eighth inning when Travis Hill scored on Sandel's sacrifice fly to center field.

The 49ers conclude their season against Conference USA foe Memphis, Saturday, May 18 at 2 pm.
