Tampa, Fla. - South Florida scored five runs in the first inning, on just three hits, on its way to a 13-0 whitewash of the 49ers in Conference USA baseball, Saturday. The Bulls have won the first two games of the three-game series, which concludes, Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
The 49ers mustered just three hits in the game and were shut out for the first time this season in league play.
After the five-run first, the Bulls posted six runs in the second and another in the third to take a commanding lead.
Nick Blackmon, Joey Bradshaw and Adam Willard had hits for the 49ers.
