LOUISVILLE, KY - Charlotte loses to Louisville, 11-3, in the second game of the three-game Conference USA series.
George Sandel paced the 49ers with two hits including a triple.
Charlotte jumped out to a 1-0 lead when Sandel, who tripled to center field, scored on a Brad Lamm infield groundout in the first inning.
Louisville tied the score, 1-1, when Josh Bolen scored on a Ken Tirpack sacrifice fly to center field in the fourth inning.
The 49ers regained the lead 3-1 with two runs on four hits in the fifth inning. Marko Little, who lead off the inning with a double, scored on Tim Nalls base hit to center field. Then, Nalls scored on Sandel's single to right center field.
Again the game was tied at 3-3 when Louisville scored two runs on three hits in the fifth inning.
Louisville took the lead for good, 11-3, with eight runs on seven hits in the seventh inning.
The two teams conclude their three-game series, Sunday, April 21 at 1 pm.
