LOUISVILLE, KY - Charlotte ends up on the short end of the stick against Louisville, 4-3.

With the loss Charlotte falls to 17-20 overall and 7-9 in Conference USA. Louisville improved to 23-10 overall and 11-5 in Conference USA.

Charlotte's George Sandel collected three hits in the game.

Charlotte's George Sandel connected on his third home run of the season a solo shot over the right center field giving the 49ers a 1-0 lead in the first inning.

The 49ers increased their lead to 2-0 when Brian Bowman scored on Sandel's single to left field in the third inning.

Charlotte added another run in the fourth inning when Joey Bradshaw, who lead off the inning with a double to center field, scored on Alex Derhak's double to right field.

Louisville took their only lead of the game, 4-3, with four runs on three hits in the eighth inning.

The two teams continue their three-game Conference USA series, Saturday, April 20 at 1 pm.
