CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Charlotte lost to UNC Wilmington 13-0 in the final game of their two-game series. The two teams split their two-game series.

UNC Wilmington pitcher Jake Mullis threw a complete game shutout for his fourth win of the season.

The Seahawks scored their first run of the game in the fourth inning. Magnus Pilegard connected on a one-out double to left centerfield. He then scored their first run on Kevin Hairr's double to rightfield.

UNC Wilmington would increase their lead to 3-0 in the fifth inning when they scored their two runs on four hits. Justin Wishon and David McKenna both had RBI singles in the inning.

The Seahawks broke the game open with five runs on four hits in the sixth inning. The big blow of the inning was a Pat Massey three-run homerun over the leftfield wall.

UNC Wilmington would add two runs in the eighth inning and three runs in the ninth to make the final score 13-0.

Charlotte returns to action when they travel to Norfolk, Virginia for a two-game series with Old Dominion this weekend, March 10-11.
