6/11/2009 - Charlotte 49ers third baseman Aaron Bray was picked by the Houston Astros in the 27th round of the 2009 Major League Baseball Amateur Draft Wednesday. Bray is Charlotte's all-time career hits leader and the second 200/200 player in team history. Read Full Release
Charlotte's Rob Lyerly Picked by Yankees in Sixth Round of Amateur Draft
6/10/2009 - Charlotte 49ers junior infielder Rob Lyerly (Indian Trail, N.C. / Piedmont HS) was selected in the sixth round by the New York Yankees in the 2009 Major League Baseball Amateur Draft on Wednesday. Lyerly, who has been the two-time First-Team All-Atlantic 10 first baseman, was selected as pick 195 in the draft. Read Full Release
