At Charlotte - 2000: Conference USA Freshman of the Year. The first Charlotte baseball player to win conference freshman of the year honors. Named second team All-Conference USA. Joins Barry Shifflett as the only Charlotte players to be named first team freshman All-American when he was named Collegiate Baseball/Louisville Slugger first team freshman All-America. Named third team Baseball America freshman All-America. Very versatile player that won two games on the mound and led the team with a .366 batting average. His .366 average was the second highest freshman batting average in school history. Barry Shifflett had a .397 average in 1983. Had third highest batting average in Conference USA. Had the third highest on-base percentage (.484) in Conference USA. Named Conference USA co-Hitter of the Week for May 8. When he hit .545 with 8 RBI in a three game series against Saint Louis. Led the team with 12 multiple RBI games. Had a season-high 5 RBI against Louisville (5/13). Had 64 hits this season with 43 RBI as he played leftfield, rightfield and designated hitter. Connected on first career home run against North Carolina A & T (2/22) and his second against North Carolina A & T (3/15). Has a very strong arm in the outfield as he lead the all Charlotte outfielders with 14 assists. Had an eight game hitting streak . Enjoyed his first career four-hit game against Wake Forest (3/28). He had a double and his third home run of the season in the game. As a pitcher, he picked up his first career win in relief against Cleveland State. Then won his first career start against College of Charleston. Had a 2-3 record in six pitching appearances. Played for Saint Joseph in the MINK league last summer.
At Westminster - Named first team all-county his last three seasons. Named to the Central Maryland all-conference team his last three seasons. As a junior, named first team All-Metro.
