At Charlotte - 2003: Connected on two home runs in a game against Saint Louis (3/30). Went 4-for-4 with four hits, four runs and four RBI in that Saint Louis game. Connected on a team season-high five hits against TCU (5/1). Had five RBI with two doubles and a triple in that TCU game. Blasted the team's first home run of the season in the season-opener against Gardner-Webb (2/8). Finished third on the team with eight multiple RBI games. Collected 35 RBI, the second highest total on the team. Finished tied for third on the team with six home runs.
At Barton County - Named honorable mention all-conference both seasons. Hit .344 with 15 doubles and 60 RBI in 51 games as a sophomore. In the summer of 2002, he played for the Wichita Braves, who were the Walter Johnson League Champs and finished fifth in the NBC World Series.
At Maize - As a senior named first team All-Chisholm Trail League. As a senior, helped lead his team to a runner-up finish in the state high school baseball tournament. Member of the National Honor Society.
