At Charlotte - 2000: Made longest relief appearance at Tulane (4/21). Recorded his first career strikeout against Clemson (3/22). Recorded first career save against Saint Louis (5/6). Had a 6.10 ERA with six strikeouts. Made 12 appearances on the mound. Pitched for the Wichita Braves in the Walter Johnson League last summer.

1999: Missed the season after having surgery for a blood clot in his right shoulder before the start of the season.

At Wingate University - While at Wingate he played football and baseball.

At Mooresville - In baseball named all-conference his last three seasons. He led the team in strikeouts, ERA and complete games. Played baseball for Coach Mark Woody. As a senior, named all-state in football as a tight end. He was a Shrine Bowl selection. Earned all-conference honors his last three seasons as a basketball player. Named to the honor roll all four years.
