Sherry helped Charlotte to a runner-up finish at the Clemson Invitational Oct. 5. He won the men's race with a time of 24:58 for the 8,000-meter course. His time is the fastest for the 49ers this season. It also ranks 18th in the school's record book.
The 49ers will take next weekend off before returning to action Oct. 19 at the NCAA Pre-National Meet in Terre Haute, Ind.
