Top Collegiate Finisher at Weekend Meet Earns First Honor of Season

Charlotte, N.C. - Tsehaye Dagnachew was named Atlantic 10 Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for being the top collegiate runner at the George Mason Invitational over the weekend.

Competing at the George Mason Invitational in Manassas, Va. on Sept. 30, Dagnachew was the top collegiate finisher in a field of 108 runners with a time of 21:32. The time marked her third top-five finish this season. She helped lead the 49ers to a second place finish in the 12-team field.

Charlotte will race again at the Brooks Pre-Nationals in Terre Haute, Indiana in two weeks on October 14.
