Sophomore Amanda Goetschius propelled the Charlotte 49er women's cross country team to victory at the 49ers' Bojangles Invitational. Goetschius was the only female runner to cross the line in less than 19 minutes to take top honors, individually, in the women's 5K race. The victory for the Garden State native was the first of her intercollegiate career. Goetschius is coming off a sensational freshman campaign in which she earned All-Atlantic 10 honors following her seventh-place finish at the 2007 A-10 Championships -- the top finisher for the 49ers.
