Houston - Charlotte 49ers Track & Field/Cross Country assistant coach Ed Schlichter was the 29th American across the finish line at the USA Half Marathon Championships in Houston on Sunday. The half marathon race featured 3,287 male competitors.

Ed's goal is to compete for a spot in the marathon on the U.S. roster for the 2008 Summer Olympics, to be held in Beijing, China.
