Terre Haute, Ind. - The Charlotte 49ers cross country teams took on the nation's best at Indiana State's Pre-Nationals meet on Saturday morning. Senior Cassie Ficken led the women's team with a 38th place finish in a 232-runner field.
WOMEN'S RECAP In the women's blue race, Charlotte finished in a tie for 28th place with Purdue. They placed ahead of Long Beach State, Indiana State, SMU, Belmont, Milwaukee and Loyola of Chicago in a 35-team field.
Senior Cassie Ficken led the women's team for the fifth straight meet, finishing 38th overall out of 232 runners. She finished the 6,000-meter course in 21:07.1.
