Cross Country Inks Four to Incoming Class of 2009
2/17/2009 - Charlotte cross country coach Brad Herbster has announced the signing of four newcomers to the incoming class of 2009 and the graduating class of 2013. Herbster's incoming class consists of three women and one male with a 50/50 split of in state and out of state athletes including two out of state athletes and two in-state athletes, with one from nearby Hickory Grove Baptist High as the Niners look to improve upon their second and fourth place finishes in the 2008 Atlantic 10 Championships. Mitchell Finishes 45th at US Cross Country Nationals
2/8/2009 - Freshmen Kristin Mitchell and Emily Harris headed to the US Cross Country Nationals with Mitchell's 45th place finish leading the way for the Charlotte 49ers in cross country action. Mitchell and Harris took a week off from the indoor season to take to the 6K championship course in Derwood, Md., with Mitchell turning in a time of 23:36 in her second career 6K race.
