Courtney Burg helped the 49ers go 3-0 last week as the team posted wins over Furman, Houston and TCU. The win over the Cougars was the first in program history. Burg recorded two more double-doubles to raise her season total to 19. First, she had 20 kills and 18 digs against Houston, then followed that with a 20-kill, 16-dig outing versus TCU. She finished the week with 993 career kills, only seven away from 1,000. Burg averaged 4.83 kills and 3.50 digs per game.

The volleyball team enters this week's Conference USA Tournament as the No. 6 seed and will face No. 11 Memphis Friday afternoon. The team enters the tournament 17-14, 7-7 in C-USA. They have already clinched their first winning season since 1994. Their seven conference wins equal the school record.
