CHARLOTTE, N.C. - After taking last weekend off, the Charlotte 49ers' athletics teams return to action Tuesday with a pair of home games. The volleyball team hosts Charleston Southern in Halton Arena, while the women's soccer team takes on cross-county rival Davidson at Transamerica Field. Both are set to begin at 7:00.

The volleyball team is coming off a tournament win at Auburn's War Eagle Classic. Along with picking up wins over Jacksonville, Syracuse and Auburn, the Niners placed Courtney Burg, Kathleen Ramos and Ashley Ferris on the all-tournament team.

It will be the first match for the women's soccer team since earning a 1-0 win at UNC Greensboro, Sept. 12. Redshirt freshman Candace Murphy scored her first career goal in the victory.

With respect to last Tuesday's events, all games and matches were either postponed or cancelled. On Friday, the 49ers and other Conference USA schools postponed events for a national day of mourning.
