CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Charlotte 49ers volleyball team is in the midst of their spring schedule, which includes a home tournament and tournaments at ACC rivals Duke and Wake Forest as well as cross-county rival Davidson. The Niners wrap up their spring campaign April 27 at Davidson.

Charlotte got started March 23, when they played at Duke. After dropping a pair of games to North Carolina, the 49ers split with South Carolina. They also won two games against both NC State and Liberty.

The Niners hosted their own tournament March 30. Charlotte started by splitting games against Georgia State then went on to beat Wake Forest, Georgia and Radford in two.

On April 6, the 49ers play at Wake Forest. Opponents on the schedule include the Demon Deacons, NC State, Davidson and Duke.

Charlotte wraps up their spring season April 27 at Davidson. In addition to the 49ers and Wildcats, NC State is expected to compete.

Last season, the volleyball team finished the year 15-15, their first record of .500 or better since 1994.
