TAMPA, Fla. -- Three Charlotte 49ers volleyball players were among four individuals that were involved in a one-car accident, Friday morning, in which one 49er player, sophomore Danielle Miller (Woodstock, Ill.) was killed. The accident occured at approximately 8 a.m., outside of Tampa, Fla.
Two individuals, including junior Holly Kreyling and a friend, who is identified as not being a student or athlete at UNC Charlotte, walked away from the accident. Those two were taken to the Leesburg Regional Medical Center emergency room. A third individual, freshman Millicent Martin (Houston, Texas), was airlifted to Orlando and is not believed to have life-threatening injuries. The individuals were vacationing in the area for spring break and were not participating in athletics related events.
Additional details about the accident have not been released, as this time.
