ST. LOUIS - The Charlotte 49ers volleyball team wrapped up their weekend Saturday, falling to Saint Louis, 3-1, in the Bauman-Eberhardt Center. The match was the 49ers' final road match of the regular-season.

Colleen Hunter led Saint Louis (19-9, 9-3 C-USA) with 18 kills and 16 digs. Minniear dug 21 balls to go along with nine kills. Courtney Burg was one of two players for Charlotte (14-14, 5-6 C-USA) to post a double-double with 21 kills and 17 digs. Abbey Szlanfucht was the other, coming up with 16 kills and 22 digs. Laura Darnell also had 22 digs while Molly McDonald registered 58 assists, seven kills and five blocks.

The 49ers took a 1-0 lead in the match with a 30-28 win in the first game. The Billikens answered with wins in the next three games however, winning 30-24, 30-24 and 30-28.

Charlotte returns to action Tuesday, when they host Furman at 7:00 in Halton Arena.
