LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Louisville defeated the Charlotte 49ers volleyball team, 3-0, Sunday afternoon at Cardinal Arena. The match was the 49ers' final Conference USA match on the road this season.

Sonja Percan had 13 kills to lead Louisville (18-5, 12-3 C-USA) in the sweep. Charlotte (12-14, 3-11 C-USA) was led by Courtney Burg and Kathleen Ramos with six kills each. The 49ers worked against themselves at times, with more errors than kills. The Niners committed 26 hitting errors, eight service errors and were whistled for blocking errors twice.

The Cardinals jumped out front 1-0 in the match with a 30-17 win in the first game. From there, they picked up a 30-19 win in game two then cruised to a 30-16 win to clinch the match.

Charlotte returns to action Wednesday, when they travel to Rock Hill, S.C., for a 7:00 match with Winthrop. The match was originally scheduled for Sept. 11.
