FORT WORTH, Texas - The Charlotte 49ers volleyball team earned their second Conference USA win of the season Friday, defeating TCU, 3-1, at Rickel Arena.

Charlotte (9-11, 2-8 C-USA) had four players reach double figures in kills, including Kathleen Ramos with team bests of 15 kills and 10 digs. Courtney Burg nearly posted a double-double of her own with 14 kills and nine digs. Esra Akgun and Katie Hall had 13 and 11 kills, respectively. TCU (6-13, 2-6 C-USA) was led by Allison Lynch, who registered 12 kills, five digs and six blocks.

The 49ers got on the board first with 30-21 win in game one. Leading 25-21, Charlotte rattled off five unanswered points to secure the win. The Horned Frogs came back to put together a 30-20 win in the second game. The Niners bounced back in the third game after falling behind early. Hall and Megan Mosness sparked the win, teaming up on a block to give Charlotte a 26-25 lead as they went on to pull out the 30-27 win. The 49ers put the match away in game four, winning 30-24.

The 49ers conclude their stay in the Lone Star State tomorrow night, when they play at Houston at 7:00. Charlotte's next home match is Saturday, Oct. 27, when they host East Carolina at 7:00.
