CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Charlotte 49ers volleyball team won their second-straight game, sweeping Colgate, 3-0, Saturday at the SpringHill Suites Classic. The win sets up the championship game tonight between the 49ers and Xavier.

Abbey Szlanfucht came off the bench to lead Charlotte (7-5) with 14 kills. Courtney Burg was the only other player to finish in double figures for kills, knocking down 11 in the first two games. She sat out the final game of the match. Melissa Rawson led Colgate (1-10) in kills with seven.

The 49ers jumped in front 1-0 after picking up a 30-20 win in game one. After winning game two by the same score, Charlotte clinched the match with a 30-14 in game three.

The Niners conclude play tonight, when they take on Xavier at 7:30.
